BCS Cloud Computing

What is Cloud Computing?

Cloud Computing is very simple: It is the delivery of technology as a service.

In the “old” model of computing (which you’re probably using), you bought servers and desktop computers. And every 3-4 years you bought them again and again.

In the old model, you have depreciating assets on your books and a huge labor bill to move your company to the the new servers every three years. It is not uncommon for a small business to pay $5,000 to $10,000 for a server and another $5,000 to $10,000 to make it work!

Then you have maintenance costs on top of that!

Cloud Computing Allows You to Have the Computer Services You Need – But Not Have to Own the Computers

Think about electricity. You don’t own a generator to provide power to your office. You don’t own the electrical lines in the street.

You buy electricity as you need it.

We are now at the point where you can do the same thing with computer services!

Imagine . . . Buy technology as you need it!

As we emerge from the recession, most small businesses still have tight budgets. At the same time, they have old servers and old desktop PCs.

Cloud services can replace that old technology with brand new services that you pay for month to month as you use it.

We are happy to talk about customized solutions, but you might want to start by looking at our BCS Cloud Computing 5-Pack offering.
